oh im getting the dough. just gonna do the essentials first. but ill deff give you a ride once im done with the ka. i think, the ka is a really good powerplant because so far ive seen some kas that whoop ass and rebuilding (atleast the pistons, rods, bearings, etc. etc. etc.), then turbo it ( with a really good tune), would cost just about the same as an sr with minor bolt ons. and the ka is making some decent numbers. i mean, ive been seeing some kas, most with a t3/t4, putting down no less then 300 whp...

but yea, eventually ill be doing an rb25 swap cause they sound sexy as hell. wont look for much power with that though. thats why im gonna do the ka and my fun.

It's not TOO powerful, but don't get ecko wrong.. 300rwhp packs a punch in an s-chassis.. especially with the SR, it's lighter by the KA..

It's not all about having a powerful car. If you can save enough to swap your car that's one thing, but when it's rear end goes slideways at 60 or 70 and you cant drive your car, thats something else to consider.

or no?

I don't know much about cars, but what i have learned I learned from one of my friends by helping him work on cars. If you got enough $$ buy a DD and try to do stuff your self...if you screw it up, take it to a shop, its not like you can screw it up so bad that an experienced mechanic won't be able to figure it out.

bust. pick up a blown SR for cheap, slap it in your garage and build it with someone who can teach you something, you'll learn a good amount.. even if you have someone else wire it up and drop it in.

300hp is no joke. Thats about what im running and it is more than enough and I would not recommend doing a swap unless your trying to get in that 300HP ballpark or else what is the point on spending a couple grand on an engine swap. Keep your stock KA and build from there ...Coilovers, wheels etc. The real question is how much are you willing to spend? then proper advice from folks who have built up multiple 240's can be given
