Anyone running Q45 brakes or 4lug Z32 brakes?
before ya'll go people do redrill Z32 brakes so you can keep the car 4 lug.
i'm assuming the Z32 brakes are too big but the Q45 might fit some 15" wheels.
so here's my question. does anyone have a Q45 setup or a Z32 4 lug setup that i could "borrow" i just wanna throw a rim on it and see if the wheel clears the brakes before spending money on something that won't fit.
the wheels in question are 15x7 +0 (IIRC)

I had q45 calipers. I may still have a single one sitting around somewhere. Chances are I tossed it. IMO, not worth the added unsprung weight. I prefer my hawk pads and stock parts over the Q45 setup with metal masters.

Flick, I know my Q45 brakes fit behind +30 offset mustang v6 wheels. They are pretty thin.

I've got the parts, but haven't drilled the rotors yet. You're welcome to use them if you want to drill em.
Need slide bolts too.

Are you worried about rim lip clearance or caliper to face of the wheel clearance?

I have z32 brakes, and my stock 7-spokes fit fine over 'em, before I got new wheels.. CLOSE fit, but it worked.

That is promising. I really hope my 15x8 +0 sportmaxes clear those brakes. Otherwise I have to keep stock brake size for the GRM event and the Z calipers I have just sit and rot on the shelf.

i'm worried about everything pretty much.... i haven't really looked into brakes too much but i figure that the coupe will need more stopping power.
Simon, thanks for your imput, who redrilled your brakes?

Re: Anyone running Q45 brakes or 4lug Z32 brakes?
Honestly dude, good rotors and great pads work better for me on my car. The problem I had was I couldn't get any decent pads for the Q45 setup plus it is heavier than the 300zxtt aluminum ones. I went back to OEM thinking they would be fine temporarily. Well, I don't plan on changing back to anything else anymore.
So, what I am saying is if you can't fit anything else under those wheels don't worry too much.
Also, buy yourself a drill press and drill those rotors yourself.

Re: Anyone running Q45 brakes or 4lug Z32 brakes?
i took my z32 brakes off for winter cuz i needed to put my 15in stock steelies on so i could attempt to make it through the snow. As good as teh z32 brakes are i dont really see them being necessary. S13's are light. My stock brakes with Hawk pads are workin just fine stopping my car from speeds over 100. The z32 brakes just locked up my tires without even pushin the pedal to the floor
just my .02
i doubt ill even go back to z32 brakes. So i might sell them. If anyones intrested i have complete front set with redrilled rotors

Did you upgrade the BMC to a Z32 one?
