Nope, we could try traillering it to the Miller park meet lol.....
we wanted it done for the 25th of april for the Sp open house/Madison meet. but there is little to know way it will be done by then. so i'm thinking the first week of may. i hope. cross your fingers.

We have been going out ant messing with the car alot more over the last week or so.

What do we have to show for it?

Well we put all the front and rear suspension and brakes back on the car, only thing left is to put the new bigger front and rear sway bar's and the front sway bar spacer so the bar doesn't rub the 2JZ oil pan.

We also tore some stuff of the 2JZ, We replaced the timing belt, the serpentine belt, the Waterpump (oem USDM one) the JDM one use's a vaccum waterpump. Put on new aftermarket Aluminum pulley's on the car.

Yesterday me and Crusin240hatch went out there and started to mock up the East Bear 8 point roll cage, we got most of it in the car, still need to finish a few of the bars, i realized we are going to have to cut some of the rear seat area out for the bar's to mount to the car. so that will have to be done before too long.

plan's for this coming week - Take out the stock JDM turbo's replace them with the usdm Turbo's. Replace the Stock JDM 440cc injectors with the usdm 550cc injectors. and we MIGHT replace the JDM camshafts with the usdm cams. and replace any gaskets we remove. then we will start to wire up the car (which is all plug and play now)

it's a eastbear 8point bolt in cage, so no need to weld it..which is good/bad.

i've seen the abuse that the Bolt in cages can take so i feel safe putting it in, if i had more cash i would have loved to do a custom weld in cage but that would be well over $1000 and at this point we just can't do it....

Are you sure that cage is NHRA legal? Check the rulebook, they can be real bastards about these things. I am sure it is safe though.

NHRA rulebook stats you don't need a roll bar untill you go 11.49 or faster...

and if it goes faster then 11.49 i'm gonna be so happy i wont care to get kicked off the track.

but i'm going to double check the rule book.

if your faster then 10.99 you need a cage...still looking for full specs.


also, we really didn't pick this cage to be fully NHRA legal the car will see the track but not alot, we just wanted incase something bad were to ever happen while on the street.

a guy on Zilvia/Clubfr/Nico had it forsale for the last few months. so i got ahold of him lowish balled him and came home with a cage.

as far as i know this is the only east ear cage i can find in the US for a S13.

the cage is a eastbear cage and i got it from some dude in illinois...

and i gotta go to work in like 4 mins but nick's not busy today, im sure hell post some pics since he's @ my house. so... give it a hour or two lol

Ok, here are some updates.

first a shot of the new tires she got on friday

225/50/15 BFG G-force T/a Drag radial's

Got the wheels and tires put together on saturday afternoon, they did it OK, no scratches no marks, just a few little grease smuges.


put them on the car last night to test fit them and see how the blue lug nuts are gonna look, i think they should be ok?

newer pic's of the 2JZGTE. It now has a newer USDM altenator, the aluminum pulleys, new belts, new waterpump, new spark plugs, new spark plug/timing belt cover.

I like the 15's as does Liz, i would LOVE to find some barrels for those wheels that are 15x9 or 15x9.5 for the rear, but until we can find some HOPEFULLY these will work.

LOL, the thermostat is cause a week before a big cruise for a nissan event in Fon Du lac, the car came up with a over heating problem, we put a new thermostat in and it was still bad, so we had to change it out again so the new "bad" one is on the tow hook.

yeah, that is a possibility.... thats why we picked drag radials for the back, that should help it some.
