ok i just picked this car up sunday (march 14th 2010)
it needs some work...
i dont know much about the car
but it doesnt matter bc i plan on replacing a majoirty of the parts anyways...
89 240sx hatch
redtop sr20det (crappy painted purple)

was told there are forged pistons,
megan turbo mani.
some type of exhaust 2 1/2'' back to a fartcan?
slammed to the ground on some coils

so the car needs paint.
no rust but a lil bit on the sideskirt...
front main seal needs to get fixed.
it surges in idle...
it rattles/clunks while in low rpms.
sounds like its coming from driver wheel...

(now im gonna see if i can find out how to post pics...

And no it hasn't over heated at all. I got a new rad in my other hatch I bought a month befor it blew...
Otherwise I got the main seal yesterday and yea idk what's next lol... And nick I got drill for the army friday saturday sunday

Naw i had low coolant. I ran a .57trim @ 14psi on stock rad w/o overheating

but ive got an aluminum racing rad w/ 2" core i might toss on, i stole dual fans from my brother's maxima too. .

and yeah its just a good idea to have one. makes your engine bay more shiny tooooooooo. and good job on the e-fans i was gonna get some maxima ones too. eh ill just ziptie my isis bullshit to the rad and be good like that. oh well.

and here was my first main fix about the car... oil leakage

was told it was front main seal.
so what do i do i go buy one...
sit there and rent that fuckin 3 arm claw thing w.e
put the new one in and the old one out....



wipe up the motor make it look semi nice...


now about see anything wrong right here... beside the puddel and the pulley or w.e not there....
well i took it around the block a few times so i could let it rest to see if it is still leaking oil...
and this is what i find....

i didnt even see it when i bought the car or nothing...
or maybe he had it covered wit the liquid gasket or w.e idk

so now i got a new thing on my list to do.....

ok so i ordered the part i need...
its the oil pump/ oil pump cover/ timing belt cover...
yea w.e its $168+$20 shipping...
and now i wait 2 week >_<

so i took out my back seat and found out my hatch leaks great...
and im missing parts for my glove box and im trying to mount my ecu...

im slowly taking stuff off to get all those bolts bolted down...
and im just trying to clean up stuff
i took off the front bumper and gonna see how my guy can paint...

and some other small stuff....

well just got the oil pump in...
i got it for a pretty good deal...
$151 free shippin. came in like 5 days or so...
im pretty fuckin happy haha
now im gonna look into a new downpipe so i can replace the gaskets...
so my shit dont sound like a tank...
im taking my back seats to my work and steam clean them haha....
so they look nice lol...

im returning my kyb strut mounts for my other hatch and thats some more money in my pocket...

otherwise yea i think thats about it for now...

so i had the day off today
and i was lookin online for all the shit i gotta do to replace this front cover...
they said a lil over an hour, but if your new at it maybe 3-4...
i call bullshit lol...
i have never had so much trouble doing all this shit haha
but while i go a good look under there...
i see where my leak is for my clutch...
i see that one bolt is barely in from my tranny to my motor...
and another isnt even all the way in there...

i hate cleaning up other ppls messes
with half as work...
one of my motor mount bolts are striped so i can get the bolt off
to lower the cross memeber.... like wtf...
oh and my whole downpipe is flat from all the times this kid bottomed out lol

otherwise besides that underbody is really really clean....
looking not to go to drill tomorrow for the army bc of a funeral.... (a real funeral, not a cover up)
and hopefully everything will go good and i can get it finished tomorrow...

next is to order a new turbo elbow and downpipe and replace those gaskets...
and then see where my next problem occurs...

now im done with bitching lol

well i havent posted shit in awhile for the sr
but i had to sub fram and all that shit
redo the gasket on the front cover, upper and lower oil pan...
it was a bitch,
so after all that i put on my 3 in full exhaust and all new gaskets from mani back

now i see it didnt seal right and has a slow leak
so i leave for panama wednesday morning for the army for 21 days
when i get back ill be doing it all over again

oh and it still has a idle problem
