A couple new things Empty A couple new things

Post by Quinn Wed Apr 28, 2010 2:08 pm

Had some grate leftover an I wanted to help cool the motor some, so I chopped a hole in the hood. Blacked out the side markers.
Then decided it wasn't enough an chopped up the intake, switched it sides with the battery an tucked the power steering resivour outta the way.
Needs a wash real bad. And a drop... other then that, lemme know what y'all think.

what's wrong with chopping the Hood? Rain doesn't affect the wiring and new hoods with vents on them cost more then I'd wanna spend.

Why not? Least its not three feet of exhaust pipe sticking up past the bumper or tires that are way too frigging narrow for the wheel they're on.

He has just a stock KA though.

Different strokes for different folks. I personally think it looks like rubbish.

Rubbish or not, it was free. Which naca duct woult have cost me.

Only stock? Bah! I got secret JDM tyte shit on there! Lolz.

I did as well a job as I could, it looks good to me and the motor runs cooler. So I'm proud enough of it.
and as far as the lowering, its not there. It needs to be to be done but I have not gotten anything for it yet.

at least raise the front of it that way it will pull air out while your driving not push air in.

for what it's worth. i know it's been tested, i just don't care enough right now to find it but. i know the TRD hood for the JZA80 supra has been tested to dramatically lower under hood temps, and a trd hood as no height difference anywhere on the hood.

Long grain, if your gonna be an ass, be one somewhere else.

The opening I put in should be far enough forward that it will pull air out. I thought about that before I put it in. I really don't have much of a way to test it though. Just so long as its moving air out somewhere, that's all I really wanted happening.
