2002 wrx wagon hybrid f/s $8500

Chassis has about 120k miles on it. Engine has 0.

Engine just rebuilt and started yesterday. The shortblock is an EJ257 (STi 2.5 liter) so it makes a bit more torque for daily driving. Stock WRX heads. This is called a "hybrid" motor. Shortblock was represented to be in good shape, which it wasn't. I installed new bearings, rods, oem pistons and rings. Weaver auto parts honed the cylinders and did the crank work for me. I double checked all tolerances. Along with the shortblock rebuild, I installed 60k mile heads from a friends car. I also replaced; Water pump, timing belt kit, STi headgaskets, front 02 sensor, clutch, STi oil cooler and cleaned out the oil pump.

Engine mods included;
VF39 turbo
Catless up pipe
Deleted TGV's
Crower valvetrane including stage 2 cams springs and retainers, not installed. (cams need machine work done.. about $200)
Benchmark base tune
820cc witchunter injectors
Denso supra fuel pump
Grimmspeed boost solenoid
Aftermarket oil pressure switch that lights the dash light at 20psi and under
AEM wideband O2 setup

I assembled this engine package with reliability in mind. It is capable of making quite a bit of power, but my goals were conservative because I wanted a mild manner daily driver.

Email me if interested, I will take you for a test ride if you are interested. I will not be letting the car leave my possession until I have finished engine break-in. This is so I can ensure the engine is broken in properly.

Rear bumper needs to be painted, someone wetsanded the old paint for some reason. There is evidence they backed into something. No other accident damage on the car. It drives nicely and shows no sign of previous bodywork.
