Do you listen to music or do you just skim through it?

I am getting to the point where I reject music if I can tell if the artist is just in for the money, so-called artists like soulja boy, and over half of todays most popular rappers.

So the question is, do you listen to the words or the beat?
I mainly listen to the words but if a song comes along and has exceptional lyrics and an awesome beat I will put it on my iPod
