What injectors to get
Well, I've decided the used market has no parts for me so I'm buying new. What size injectors should I go with on a RB25? I was leaning towards the 550's since I don't know how much the 255lph can handle, but then again I was also considering the 740's so I don't kick myself further down the road if I go for more power. Only a $50 difference, but it's $50 I could spend on other parts.

Re: What injectors to get
You said on WIDSM your going to go with more power... so it's either you buy the 740's for extra $50 now.. or you buy the 550's and then down the road pay that again plus the $50... so if you really do have plans to go bigger and badder then why pay the price twice.. its really up to if you are going to do whatever you have in store for it.
Re: What injectors to get
That's kinda my thought too, but the 550's should be good for almost 500hp. I guess my question is, will the fuel pump hold up to the demands of the 740's?

Re: What injectors to get
id go with 1000cc. Its always better to go with a much higher size injector than u need so they run at a lower duty cycle
Re: What injectors to get
lol, I don't think I need to go that big. I think I'm going with the deatschwerks 740's, now I just have to price out what place has them cheapest.lilskyline240 wrote:id go with 1000cc. Its always better to go with a much higher size injector than u need so they run at a lower duty cycle

Re: What injectors to get
Price wont make much of a difference. Larger injectors arent much different then smaller injectors, they just have bigger nozzles. Essentailly they spray more during each impulse. But you dont want anything bigger then what your engine management can handle. Otherwise you will run pig rich and wont be able to control them. Id say get somethign that will reach and slightly exceed your expected power goals as long as you can handle tuning it.
Re: What injectors to get
You will run out of pump before you run out of injectors with 1k injectors.
Do the 750s, nobody makes a drop in side feed 1k injector.

Re: What injectors to get
i guess the 740's would be PLENTY. that should take you well past 600whp anyways which i doubt thats what ur lookin for
Re: What injectors to get
600whp would be nice, but probably a little more than necessary for a street car this light. Power FC for management, no problem there!

LOL 300 whp on an S-chassis is already rowdy for the street... 600 is a monster.
Re: What injectors to get
Ok, I'll be ordering everything I need when I get back home tomorrow. One last thing, I'm having second thoughts on the Power FC. Is there any better options without absolutely breaking the bank?

Re: What injectors to get
Being the only RB owner to comment, I'd like to know the reasoning behind not going with anything else. Power FC was my first choice, but before i pull the trigger on something that expensive I wanted to make sure there wasn't a better choice.lilskyline240 wrote:DO not get anything else besides the Power FC for a RB

Re: What injectors to get
Keith gave you a J30 ECU... I would have that modified and change the wiring to be able to run nistune or something of that nature. It may be a little too advanced for a "noob" (don't take offense, it can be complex!).
I have been very happy with my power FC. No regrets whatsoever. Don't forget, you absolutely need to purchase the datalogit setup. Tuning without it is a nightmare and you don't have real datalogging without it.
Don't even consider a full standalone, there are issues with the aftermarket systems reading the CAS correctly and puking motors.

I considered the Nistune, but it seems to be little lacking. Compared with the Power FC, I decided to go the Power FC route. My computer crashed so I'm using my PS3 to browse. Once the computers up, I'll probably be order the Power FC. Anyone know the best place to buy?

Re: What injectors to get
seein as they dont make rb25 ones new anymore they price got jacked up hardcore. i think i got a line on one tho. Ill PM ya if i can get ya a hookup
Re: What injectors to get
They don't make the RB25 Power FC anymore? That would explain why the price is higher than all the other model Power FC's I've seen. I'll hold off ordering for another day or two if anyone can get a hookup.lilskyline240 wrote:seein as they dont make rb25 ones new anymore they price got jacked up hardcore. i think i got a line on one tho. Has anyone run a water/meth kit on the RB25?
