i have a damn problem
Ok so swapped my old ka out back in may might have lost a few trans bolts. Ever since then my trans/clutch grinds when I push the clutch down mostly in 1st and reverse after so long of that. About 3 weeks ago I str8 broke my clutch will post pics later its cool. Replaced clutch throw out bearing resurfaced flywheel new slave and master even got a new trans with no grinds. During the breaking in process it starts making that grindin noise again some times it worse something it doesn't do it. Like I said makes that noise and don't let me get in gear when I push the clutch down or it does but sounds Like ass, 1st and reverse usually do it sometimes all gears 4th is doing it too. Its getting gay cause sounds Like idk how to drive when I try driving it. Oh and we might of lost more trans bolts maybe that may cause the issue idk I mean its on there good. Anyone have any ideas or anything let me know plz

Re: i have a damn problem
It may be on there good but those lost trans bolts could cause it to possible be moving when shifting/just driving. Improper alignment of the trans will cause premature clutch failure. I recommend finding some bolts for it.

Re: i have a damn problem
Assuming you are getting the proper throw when the clutch petal is down and the clutch is decent then the problem lies inside the trans. Otherwise it could be a clutch disengagement issue.
Here is something to try:
Find a smooth level piece of road/parking lot. Put the car in first gear with your foot on the clutch all the way to the floor. Then with your clutch petal to the floor, rev up the engine to near redline without moving your clutch petal off the floor. If the car starts to lurch forward without you moving the clutch then it means the clutch isn't fully disengaging and that is why you have grinding issues.
However if the car doesn't move (as it shouldn't) then the problem is the weak synchros in the trans. A change of fluid will likely help a bit and I recommend GM/Pennzoil synchromesh. The Pennzoil version of it is available at most auto part stores. While it isn't a transmission rebuild in a bottle you will likely find that it helps quite a bit.

Lol at your situation. You don't need all the trans bolts, It's not like the trans is important or anything. lol.

Yeah we swapped the ka in the night before I drove at Dday so we were kind of in a rush, the ka that was swapped in came from a vatomatic 240 and yeah...
