What the hell, I'll tell you bout my beater
I picked up a beater hatch a bit ago. Progress has been fixing the tweaked front by installing new headlight assemblies and bumper support, shit still don't line up perfect cause the bumper cover is perma tweaked, but, eh.
The headlights didn't work right, so I cleaned up the contact in the switch and voila!
I was driving home the other day when I went for third and didn't find it, I panicked at first and then realized I don't need a clutch. I did come to a few stops in which I had to pump the pedal to build some pressure and slide it into first; thirty miles later I made it home without grinding a gear! And then replaced the slave which had leaked just about all the fluid. While I was at it I replaced the master.
Speedo and odo crapped out on me so I replaced the cluster with a digital; I heart the centralized tach. But it still doesn't work completely how it should, I'll figure it out soon enough.
Just swapped in the J30 diff today. I can't wait to fix that cluster and take it for a spin! Sounds funny I know, but I have yet to own a 240 with a locking diff of any sort; and I've owned three now with the earliest being 4 years ago! I know, I'm slackin.

I somewhat put the dash back together and have been driving it. Locking diff does rock! Then it started hesitating. Gonna clean the IACV and EGR tomorrow. Hopefully that takes care of it.
