FS: 1980 Datsun 280ZX

Its been a very long and exhausting decision. But the time has come to where I must sell my beloved ZXT hybrid.

The car was originally from Arizona. The owner moved to Knoxville Tenn. where I purchased the car. According to him, he had only lived there for about 2 years. The entire time the car was in the garage.

Now I have owned the car for close to 3 years. It still lives in the garage every night. There is some rust, but only under the front windshield for the most part, and some coming through about the windshield as well.. There are a few other spots, but is all surface rust and very easily taken care of.

The car started life as a N/A auto. Now has motor from an 81' zx turbo, and a 5spd swap from a 83. The engine it self if 100% stock. Only mods done are the FORD edis ignition system, 240sx TB and adapter. Large FMIC. I am using a MegaSquirt II v3.57 ecu. Running the 2.890 code. I do have a LC-1 wideband dedicated and installed on the car with a guage in the dash. I used a GM clt and iat sensors, factory turbo fuel pump and 270cc injectors. The car will start and idle. But is NOT TUNED. I have not had the time nor any idea how to properly tune it. So it will need to be towed.

I have plenty of other parts to go along. It currently sits on a set of 15" gold snow flake wheels. tires are shot, but the wheels have no rash or curbage to speak of. perfect for a repaint and mounting. I have a set of tires I will include with the sale.

I have an extra l28 engine and full gasket set that is also included, along with a full factory efi harness and ecu that came from the car originally. The engine is all cleaned and painted, waiting assembly.

The car only needs a few things taken care of to be drivable. I have a Ford Taurus elec. Fan that needs to be installed and wired up. Will need the tires ive included mounted. Also the car will need to be TUNED. It will also need a battery, as the one I have currently does not hold a charge.

Im looking to get $3000 for it, please make an offer, I may be open to trades, but it would have to be a running driving vehicle, not really looking for any sort of a project, but may consider just about anything.

31x12x3 fmic with 3" inlets, the piping is 2.5"
Has a custom built trigger wheel setup for the Ford EDIS6 ignition
All wiring is soldiered and done properly.
New Turbo Fuel pump
Cleaned 270cc stock turbo injectors.


I do not want to part it out at this time, just mainly looking for something to drive as a daily.
