Rustproofing the S chassis (Rust sucks)
As u guys know rust sucks. 2 years ago my friend was looking to buy a s13, but it was kinda hard to find a nice example that wasn't a rust bucket. Then we decided, if the frame rails are in good shape we can rustproof the rest of the car. So take a look what we came out with.
This gives u a basic idea what u can do with the rust on a 240.
What u need.
1. Rust Converter (Converts rust into printable surface)
2. Rust Encapsulator (Seals rust to prevent corrosion)
3. Chassis Black paint or any good paint
4. Undercoating (For underbody to prevent rock chips.
Well all the stuff I got from here www.eastwood.com
What u have to do
1. Take off any loose rust with a grinder or similar tool. Some place might need new metal plates welded.
2 Mix rust converter solution and apply to rust surface with a bush.
3. After everything is dry apply Encapsulation brush on or spray can is available.
4. For best results apply some paint.
5. Use undercoating compoung to prevent chips in paint from rocks
Here are some pictures of the s13

After
This was painted with Chassis Black Paint
Engine Bay Paint and re wire.

Sorry about the spelling I was under the influence when I wrote this.

You actually contributed to this car I in a way. We met 2 times First time when you where selling a a 13 and lived in Cristal lake (after that you got in to 240's) Then I got the white hood and white bumper from you. I even have a picture of your car before it was painted

Well I got a 240 late June 2009 and was working on it. Within that time I had to swap the engine out a few times (Now I'm on my third one) Don't ask but now I can take out a KA in 3.5 hours and even swap in a new one with no help at all.
Experience makes it perfect, so they say (a 2x4 is sometimes your best friend when nobody is around). That's what I learned this summer
Next time I'm just gonna ask u guys to help me out.

Well Its just a phone that I take pictures with I don't carry around a camera. But your right I should keep one in my car or something.
U know when your doing something with a car you get this feeling "I should take a picture of it" and the only cam is in ur phone.
Also the garage that I work on cars is 15 min away from my house so I don't want to go home to get one.

Re: Rustproofing the S chassis (Rust sucks)
I bought a frame sealing kit that rustproofs the whole chassis and rails. I'm going to be doing this during the spring after I get the passenger side front rail welded up.
