Shifting issues

Post by yamaproject on Mon May 25, 2009 9:09 am

Has anyone experienced your 240 not shifting into gear. I have notice over the last 300-500 miles that the 240 was getting difficult to shift into gear, now it will not go into gear at all. I have a 5 spd with around 125 k on it. about the last 5 k is what I have put on the trans..no probs with it. I have a new clutch master, new slave cyl. braided clutch line, eliminated the BS slave box, Fidanza 6-puck clutch and Fidanza light weigh flywheel and megan short shifter...everything is new with 1000 miles to date...Ive adjusted the clutch pedal a few different points still will not go into gear while engine is running. Ive tried all 5 gears along with reverse no go... it will go in w/o engine running of course. Any one had probs like this or heard anything...let me know

Thanks.... Bow

Yes it was bled correctly and the clutch was broke in properly. A friend of mine think that it maybe in the pressure plate.

New thow out bearing, Throw out fork is in good condition not bent or anything and good stream of fluid, I am going to throw in the stock disc and pressure plate and see where that takes me..
