14k's Sileighty
Ok ive been posting pix here and there figure ill make a thread.
its an 89 hatch with a stock sr nothing special.
Bought it in the fall it looked like this.......
When i bought it it had:
Cusco solid mounts
GReddy Vspl intercooler
Spec kevlar clutch
AMS boost controller
Walbro 255 lph pump
Apex'i GT SPEC exhaust
KOYO radiator with permacool 14'' fan
Tein flex dampers:
battle version tension rods
JDM subrame with VLSD
Cusco OSC (carbon fiber) front Strut tower bar
Cusco OST (triangle...connects towers to floor)
Energy suspension polyurethane kit
5 lug conversion
5Zigen FN01R-C wheels
Version select bumpers, side skirts, lower door panels
JDM dash cluster
SAFC
blitz FATT DC auto turbo timer
Car was tight, but it was beat.
Got some new rear tires 255 40 17 the old ones had the belts showing it was bad!!
Replaced the driveshaft carrier bearing it was completly gone, driveshaft had SOOOOO much play its not even funny. i thought i had a flat or something the noise was horrible.
Rewired the headlights because one headlight didnt work, wasnt the bulb.
Rewired the boost gauge it was all bare wires
wired up a license plate light
Got a new front bumper, fenders, hood(never installed) from a guy who did a silfront
Looked like this after all that.
I decided i wanted to do a silfront because I liked the look and because my flip up's didnt work. i had to crank the flip up motors manualy with the little black knobs. Ghetto.
So I got some stuff from TAKA at works aero. D-max hood, fenders, and aero.
sat like that for a while then i finnaly got around to sanding the body for paint. i had a grey hatch (ecko's) as a daily and i took the interior out of the hatch and sold the car to ecko. so now i have a full interior thanks to BIG BABY JESUS. got some headlights from ebay
Heres some pix of the prep work
I decided to take the quarter windows out to paint (mistake)
the driver side came out fine but the passanger side got fucked up...........Corona is to blame
Antenna is shaved now and after some body work and lots of sanding this is it
Had ROSKI throw some paint down on my hood
I know im a picture whore and sry for the quality of the pix there all from my iphone i dont have a digital camera.
I just got a greddy profec a boost controller from 240sxguy and a new gauge cluster that reads mph lol its the digital one like SIMON's also took the passanger side door apart and fixed the problem of the window not rolling up and down.
the wheels were really corroded to i had my buddy take the tires off and now there gettin sanded and painted black
So its on jack stands right now in my garage. im sanding the rims, should be done tonight, and painting the passanger side door.
then its time to re-assemble.
I want new seats, steering wheel, extra set of wheels, wideband, and im picking up some corners and grill from trucky for the silfront tomorrow
also a bigger turbo set up and maybe next winter RHD conversion.
lots of work ahead of me ill try to update this often
