SOHC to DOHC gauge cluster

Ok i got a dohc gauge cluster and it wont work on my sohc car. if anyone out there knows how to set up a dohc gauge cluster in a sohc car plz post links advice or whatever. plz this is one of 3 critical things to complete my car for the meet. at least make it witout speeding.

u sure you have the SR wired correctly to the dash harness? cuz the DOHC cluster just plugs right into the SOHC chassis and works... thats what i did.. no mods needed

idk you any good with the wiring on an sr, the car was already sr'd when i picked it up.

it should just be plug and play. Is the whole cluster not working, or just the tach?

well the illumination, tach, and mph is not working all the idiot lights are working. went thru the board while it ws plugged in and the whole cluster is getting power it just seams like it needs ground. i tried adding one but nothing happened.

did the illumination and spedo work with the SOHC cluster?

yes it did

try borrowing someones dohc cluster that you know works. Yours might be dead.

I thought my wiring was bad one my cluster once, but I got a new one and it worked fine

im guessin your cluster is bad if the SOHC one had workin stuff on it. Try a new cluster for sure

damn, well anyone have a dohc one i can borrow just to try out. i really want to get this one to work.
