LSD Install Started!!
K guys, sry Flick I decided not to weld my diff, I saw the sale on Frsport couldn't resist...Just picked up a Kaaz 2 way diff $750 shipped!!! I'm going to put this in at school when I get back from break and will have a full install w/pics (obviously). ETA...March 23rd is when i'm starting the install. This is the reason why I cant go to Bdubs haha and I gotta pay to fix the vDub...IDK if this should go in here or if a mod want to move it to the Progress thread..whichever works for me

Re: LSD Install Started!!
o yea ran into a delay with the truck (pinion seal crushed during install, had to wait an hour for parts) so I got to pull in the 240 and pulled out the diff housing..so next week I start taking out the open diff and put in the lsd
LSD Install:
Step 1. Remove differential housing Est time 30 min or less (depending on rust issues, I had none Florida cars FTW haha)

- Start by removing the 4 bolts (14mm) from the driveshaft to the pinion flange
-Have the e-brake engaged to prevent DS from moving making it easier to remove bolts
-After removing driveshaft hang with either bungie cord, wire, ect
-After removing driveshaft hang with either bungie cord, wire, ect
- Now remove 6 bolts (14mm) from each of the CV axles
_Once again have ebrake engaged to prevent wheel movement
-Leave the axles unbolted and still in the housing, they will come out when you drop the housing
-Leave the axles unbolted and still in the housing, they will come out when you drop the housing
- Remove 4 nuts (17mm) connected to the chassis to the diff housing
-Remove the two bolts (14mm) at each sway bar bushing to help housing removal,(clearance issues, pinion flange hits) sway bar will drop enough so the flange won't get caught up
-Have some one there to help you or a trans jack to hold the housing before you remove the last two bolts stated below
-Have some one there to help you or a trans jack to hold the housing before you remove the last two bolts stated below
- Remove the 2 bolts (17mm) from the crossmember to the housing and the housing will drop
