2ndcars "getting started"???

Alright so the past couple weeks i've been trying to figure out what parts i'm wanting to go with for the time being.

Last week i picked up VLSD out of a 96 j30 ( still working on trying to put it in)
Today i just order my exhaust and by friday i will have ordered my exedy clutch and exedy or fidanza flywheel, resonator and DC Sport header. I'll try and take pics while i install it but i doubt that'll happen so yall get to see it at a meet.

Hey man, did you ever yet your LSD/exhaust or anything installed?

No i didn't get it in, i did however get my exhaust but i'm waiting on the dc sport header from modacar.com but you will see the LSD in the for sale section. I just lost my job and i need to sell it now.

yeah this global crisis is getting worse... on some areas of the country like
CALI the unployement rate boomed to 40% in some areas.

well me too!! this economy is so bad right now, i couldnt get the things i wanted for the car, i just wanted some bolt ons but yet im broke.. any places with nice prices on somo headers, catback, CAI.?

what gears do the J30 have? is that the one with the 3.90? gear ratio?

Yeah its 3.94. the pinion gear is 12 and the ring gear is 47. On the 240s it 12 pinion and 49 for the ring. But you can take the ring gear off of the open diff and put it on the vlsd.

The tear down of my engine will begin asap to find out why i have oil in #2 cylinder

Hopefully picking up an engine today to swap out the one with an oil leak. then my dc sport headers, catco cat, rein hard cat back, exedy clutch and flywheel can all go on.

Quick update nothing spectacular. Found out i had a bad injector, got it replaced and it runs great. and i just replaced the clutch with a exedy stage 1 so i begin the break in process.

so hows it going with the other 240 you said you got that 1 fixed for the cluth part right?

not yet just got back from Illinois and had a lot of stuff to do today maybe tomorrow but that depends on the weather. Hopefully wednesday night for sure though. don't worry i'll let you know
