kyle's KA24DET 240 build
So i started this project around march 08 pretty much instantaneously after i picked up the 240 took me like 4 months to pick out a 240 and i finally found this one in Cincinnati Ohio and i was living in chicago going to UTI (Very crappy school) so drove 4 hours and picked it up little front end damage but i got some body skills so i fixed that all up... well anyways built the motor that winter and been driving it since with the fully built motor i put 6 thousand miles on it for break in and just pulled it again last week gonna switch out the oil pump and toss on Xcessive Manufacturings new oil pan with the sr20 sump... toss her back in fire her up and hope my little tick is gone and then hopefully toss on a turbo before springtime but here are some pictures of the goods and car

Re: kyle's KA24DET 240 build
gracious gracious...ya i've had a little more than a tick ever since i rebuilt it and its been pissin me off i tore the head apart like 2 different times and couldn't find anything wrong but the second time i noticed a lack of oil under the lifter/buckets so tested oil pressure turns out its a little low for my liking so i orderd every new part you can get for the oil pump aside from the front cover

Nice build, car looks pretty clean.
should be pretty quick with a 35R. have you looked into the new PTE billet stuff? pretty slick.

eS 13_maJiK - familier as in you see it all the time ? you have the same setup? or you know someone who has a similar set up ?? haha and if you are referring to the garage it was our garage at are apartment complex very small and lots of stuff to cram into it !!!
Flicktitty - i've only heard a little about there PTE billet compressors but not a whole lot i will have to do some more research on that though... i'm shootin for right around 600ish... only thing i'm unsure of is what i should do for a fuel set up cause i don't think the walbro is going to keep up...

Re: kyle's KA24DET 240 build
they say 1 walbro is good for about 550whp. so yeah you will need to run atleast 2 or 3. i know i've seen a few custom tripple walbro hangers before.
or you could go with a Aeromotive A1000 pump. and even at about 550-600 hp the fuel lines on a s-chassis car should start to get upgraded.

i don't know if any of you have KA's but just curious if any of you have tried putting the competion oil pump springs for a higher pressure???
