tonights accomplishment, put the timing covers back on!

so bad news... gotta pull the motor apart

found some stuff in the bottem of the oil pan that wasn't supposed to bed there

that's not good. bearings? or ?

how many miles on the built motor?

have you talked to the place that did the motor work?

wrist pin retainer clip....

6000 on the rebuild....

and i actually built the motor... EXCEPT i did not put the C clips in a F**kin roomate did who if i ever see again is going to prolly make a trip to the hospital for the money he owes me and the money he almost/might have cost me on my motor...

i've always had that tick on my motor and its such an odd tick and sounded like it was coming from the head but i remember ivan at ams saying it kind of sounded like wrist pin slap and i'm guessing he was right... but its been like that for 6 now cause i bet that thoe clips fell out the first time i turned that motor over... i'm just really hoping that it didn't damage the cylinder walls cause then o will have to get it bored and by another set of 500 dollar pistons...

whats the deal with the motor?

actually in the garage tearin it down as we speak

bad news.... got groves in 3 of the cylinders where the pins were rubbing... so i'm gonna try and drop it off at the machine shop tomorrow or maybe just get another block... i'm gonna sleep on it... it will be a hell of a lot cheaper to get another block cause then i won't have to buy 20 over pistons........ F*CK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ouch.

i can't pass all the blame cause i know I put the retainers in at least of the pistons... but with my luck the piston i did is the one that is still fully intact..

so now i just need a new block it could be 100 times worse i could have boosted it not knowing and blew the whole engine up !

i got a new block guys but i'm in daytona beach for the week for a little R&R so next week i will be putting it back together!

alrighty i'm back !! so i got a new block sent it to the machine shop got it bored .020 over a new set of arias pistons got it decked had them balance the whole rotating assembly took a month but i finally got it back from them 2 weeks ago and started putting it together again and this is whats been goin on !

looks pretty good. do you have anything between the two pumps to make sure they don't rub? i've heard that should be done?

i've seen it done on only a few setups... but i don't think it will be a big deal i haven't heard of anyone who had issues doing it this way yet... they are solid i doubt they will move at all!
