Re: well im broke
the tube coming from you coldpipe goes to your iacv, not your head.
but go ahead, see how long it lasts pressurizing your crankcase =]

Re: well im broke
it needs a breather filter or else the car does not idle and dies. and it makes it misfire when it is connected, bad. sounds like a 2 step.

ran like a bat from hell.

I get this scary feeling you have no idea what anything is on your motor.
that little tube below your intake manifold goes to the cold pipe, its your IACV and you have to have it connected in order to idle properly
any number of breather filters wont change anything one bit, no matter what you put them on
nor will having an air filter
and that threaded hole on your turbo outlet, it isnt for EGR, its for your o2 sensor, which you should also have...

Re: well im broke
hah holy shit you arent running an o2 sensor?

Re: well im broke
longgrain o2 sensor goes on top of the turbo outlet. ill get the link later on and a pic of what i am talking about. and why is it that when that hose is off it idles fine? hmm.... now im confused everyone. when that hose is off i do not misfire what so ever and its a rocketship, but when its off i misfire either at 3500 or 4500 rpm's hmmmmmm.....
also my welded diff took a shit last night and the driveshaft broke right off and bent the driveshaft on the second piece back (the long piece) pretty badly. also managed to take the ebrake lines with it. ill get pics of that later.
for now does anyone have a manual s13 driveshaft that is local to the chicago area?

Re: well im broke
heres a pic from nico that i got off of google images.
on the top is the o2 sensor housing and look on the bottom of the turbo outlet. emmissions shit. which is what courtsey nissan calls the egr release pipe i believe. i have to double check again.

Re: well im broke
the hose in the upper left hand corner that goes from the cold pipe to the iacv is what i am talking about. if that is what you all believe is where the iacv goes to. which i believe you but others have told me not and i looked at them like they have 8 eyes. when that hose is off of my car it does not misfire and idles a little high due to no filter on it. already tried covering it up with a filter and it idled around 1300-700 depending on wether it is warmed up fully or not. but then again the idle still fluctuates.

do you know why its running so shitty? u got wideband?
did you get a air filter on their yet?
and it has made it to and from chicago strong 2wice already with a little beating on it also. the idle is the only rough part on the car.

Re: well im broke
your iacv might be bad, or something isnt hooked up right.
there is no question that the IACV needs to be connected to the cold pipe, the reason behind this is because when the throttle plate is closed that lets air in for the engine to idle.
as for the port on the bottom of your turbo outlet... mine didnt have those, but I still have that stainless one that doesnt have that thing if you want it.
heres my old setups.

Re: well im broke
yeah i just still just dont get why it doesnt idle when it is off. the iacv is fine. the motor came out of k's car from ill garage everything is there. i think maybe the ic piping or ic itself has something clogged in it. but when the hose is off on the cold pipe there is still air going through that hose.

Re: well im broke
yea man, dont bother taking advice from the people who have done SR swaps before. I'm sure you can figure it out, afterall, you have watched tons of drifting videos before, you must be a swap pro by now.

Re: well im broke
lol yeah i totally wasn't taking advice. i have been talking around and to the previous owner and im curious on how the iacv would go bad in 3 days of no use? when the hose is inu the car dies when it is out it does not die but idles and also when the hose is in it also misfires but when it is out it does not misfire? hmm.... also the diff was not the problem autozone just sells bunk ass shit and my caliper seized so bad i had to take the rotor off with it... thanks autozone. they gave me a new one now i need a manual driveshaft. if anyone has a spare lmk how much they want ill drive out asap!
