Your planning on arc welding aluminum? I don't think so. This is really shitty quality pipe and welds like crap.

Ecko, I bought the SR kit shipped and paid to have the welds done and ended up paying a TON less than custom built. The tubing quality isn't the best but it works very well and I would do it again.

Kori, I don't have any updated photos.

i think shes plannin on doin exactly what ive done on all my intercooler setups. Just a generic piping kit. Just cut the pipes and use couplers to put them together. Unless u plan on running high boost over like 15psi tbolt clamps and silicon couplers will do just fine

lol no.. that was more a joke. i know you cant arc weld them.. which was the joke. My problem is always that i have an Arc welder and its just gonna fuck up the shit i end up needing to weld.. But no reason for me to go buy a different welder because i got friends with other types, its usually them coming to me and asking to use arc welder for the harder steels.

And me and ben were talking about it yesterday and today getting universal.. but i was looking at SR kits and wondering if they could be cut and shit to be used and evan saying he did that kinda makes me think i could possibly go that route over universal. Still havent decided.

why wouldnt you just get an RB kit and modify that.

seems like that would be the smart way to go about it...

whatever. do your thing. I just figure why hack shit together when you can do it right the first time. but if that doesn't matter to you, go for it. It will definitely fit your whole "theme" well.

hahah. hacked together? Ben used universal and its definitely not hacked together...

I really can't wait till its finished and your proved wrong with all your false opinions. It's going to be GREAT! The people being a dick and downers on my build are going to make the satisfaction of the completion that much greater when you see that it was done right, clean, and hot.. cant wait..

I welded as much as possible, popping couplers off that are difficult to reach can ruin your day. The SR kit required nothing but a few cuts, and reclocking a few pieces. Fitment came out as good as I could have hoped and each side only has one coupler mid pipe run.

BTW; If you don't think at some point your going to be running more than 15psi your fooling yourself. I was blowing off couplers like crazy last fall and it was very very frustrating.

i never said i wouldnt be going over 15psi.. Ben likes to speak words without asking me sometimes lol.

And i agree with you on the welding as much as possible.

Dirty and missing 2 pipes but the place is shipping those out and claim they were on the motor when it was shipped but didnt argue about sending me new ones.

Going to clean it and remove things thursday when it goes onto an engine stand.

that is why i'll never buy an engine from one of those canadian importer places. that thing looks BEAT. i would probably spend the time to rebuild it if I were you, who knows how long it sat in a yard before they got it..
