Well congrats on getting the motor! But yeah it does look a little beat there. I would atleast recomend doing a compresion check on that motor.

Doesn't look beat at all to me, just chipped paint on the top end which they all seem to have.

it doesnt look beat to me either. All it is a few chips in the valve cover paint and chips on the intake mani paint.. no big deal. Everything else is in great condition. Only thing that was wrong was the 2 missing pipes. Dont worry once i get it up on the stand and cleaned you will feel differently. All dirty motors look like they could have been beat.

First time on this forum someone has been like that to another.... damn thought this place was different to all the other sites.....

Kori:
Engine looks good. Don't forget the leak down test and give everything over before you install... don't want to take the time to get it in and the seller screwed something.... never hurts to check.

Congrats again!

it has nothing to do with what motor it is. they all sit in a junk yard before being cut out and shipped over seas, they arent checked, or even looked at for the most part. which is why its always a good idea to freshen them up before you put them in, just to save yourself the headache. but what do I know...

Still getting parts in the mail. Not ripping anything out until i have everything i need and it'll be dropped in and running in one weekend. Since i can only use the shop overnight on weekends.

Another update is motor getting prepped. Things on monday going to get sand blasted and painted.

The KA in the car currently some guy is buying once its pulled out, met him at Road America AMS track day.

Other than parts still coming, just the motor getting ready and pretty.

i think we are gunna come down next week prolly like tuesday if thats good for you evan to get the trans. I gotta make sure thast ok with kori to. lol shes at work right now

and idk how all you guys can say that motor looks beat by how it looks sittin on a pallet? Funny thing is the motor is completely stock which means i doubt it was beat. and the clutch looked to be in great shape still. Which also leads me to believe it wasnt beat along with Zero shaft play in either turbo. Its on the engine stand now and gettin stripped down for furthur checking so everyone just hold tight. We can only do so much at one time because me and her both work and gotta figure out time when we can do it
